App Store releases

Every app release, read for you

Your competitors' iPhone, iPad and Mac apps are checked every day. When a release adds something new, you get what shipped from its release notes — and fix-only updates stay out of your way.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself.

  1. 01

    We find their apps

Apps the competitor's site links to, and its other apps, are found for you; others you confirm or add by link.

  2. 02

We check the App Store daily

Version, release notes, price, rating and devices, from Apple's public App Store data.

  3. 03

    We tell features from fixes

A release with new capabilities becomes an alert with what it means; bug-fix releases stay in the history.

Product tour

Every source, the same six steps.

The tour has no App Store example yet, and every change is reported in the same six steps, whatever its source. Step through a competitor's launch, found in three of its posts: the facts, the sources, why it matters and what to do.

Take the tour

In detail

What you get.

  • iPhone, iPad and Mac

Every tracked app with its version, release date, price, rating and devices.

  • Features, not fixes

Release notes read for what's new; fix-only updates are marked and stay quiet.

  • One launch, one alert

When an app release and a press story describe the same launch, you get one alert with both sources.

  • A release history

Every version seen, per app, with what became of each one.

Channels

Where you'll see it.

Everyone gets email: high priority right away, the rest in a daily or weekly digest. On Pro, Team and Enterprise, changes above the priority you choose are also posted to your team's Slack or Microsoft Teams channels.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Where does the app data come from?

From Apple's public App Store data for the US store: versions, release notes, price, average rating and count, devices and category. Never reviews or screenshots.

Do you track Android apps?

Not yet. Apps are read from the App Store only: iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What if you find the wrong app?

Apps a competitor's site doesn't link to are only proposed until someone confirms them, and you can stop tracking any app.
